Course description:

This course will provide school leaders with up-to-date information required to effectively lead English in school and ensure your curriculum is Ofsted ready. Case studies demonstrating impact in writing across school using Pathways to Write will be showcased.

There will be an opportunity to audit reading in your school to support ‘deep dive’ Ofsted preparation.  A wide variety of engaging texts to support the teaching of reading and vocabulary development will be explored through the use of our brand new Pathways to Read resource.

Outcomes – School leaders will:

– Explore how English can support effective implementation of your curriculum

– Investigate reading audits in preparation for a ‘deep dive’

– Explore effective vocabulary development across the curriculum

– Be guided to ensure the school curriculum is planned and sequenced so that new knowledge and skills build on what has been taught before

– Receive an introduction to our brand new and exciting Pathways to Read resources and texts

– Be exposed to a wide range of inspiring resources
