This free, home learning unit provides a selection of materials to help parents and carers engage year 2 children in spelling and phonics activities when working from home. There are 10 daily activity cards designed to support the development of the spelling expectation for the end of year 2 plus a list of the year 2 spelling requirements from the National Curriculum, with examples.
For each year group we have created a selection of free spelling, writing and poetry activities linked to a variety of engaging themes. Some require pupils to complete their own research to use in their own writing and others use images and video clips to inspire.
