Y2 Unit of Work Three Little Monkeys

In this new and engaging unit pupils will learn, practise apply the following skills:

• Add -ly to turn adjectives into adverbs
• Use commas to separate items in a list
• Use subordination (because, when)
• Use expanded noun phrases to describe and specify

Throughout the unit there will be the opportunity to write for a variety of purposes, leading to a final outcome of a story. Greater depth pupils are well planned for along with links to reading, speaking and listening and vocabulary development.
