Our SMSC Refugee collection of units is designed to inspire teaching of spiritual, moral, social and cultural development (SMSC) and British values through English lessons. Pupils will be engaged with the stories of hope and belonging throughout their SMSC journey.

All of the SMSC units comprise 15 sessions of English planning and focuses on mastering key writing skills (grammar, vocabulary and punctuation) from the national curriculum. They contain opportunities to develop reading comprehension, writing composition and spoken language. These skills are woven throughout the units.
