Sticky Mildred by Alastair Chisholm and Rikin Parekh – Book review

The story details her quest to find the stickiest things in the world: doughnuts and custard, marmalade tart, marshmallows, porridge, jelly hearts and more! With every new sticky adventure, more and more objects begin to cling to her until she’s trailed by a gigantic, hilarious jumble of gooey treasures.

Eventually, Mildred and her enormous sticky trail are flung back through town, whizzing through the soap shop and the car wash, where she discovers that sometimes – just sometimes, it’s actually rather nice to be clean.

This is a wonderfully fun book, perfect for EYFS children and ideal for encouraging little ones that getting clean can be part of the fun. We loved spotting all the crazy items caught in Mildred’s sticky trail and chatting about why bath time matters.
